Level Two Storytelling

Ready to take your stories to the next level? In this eight-week adventure, you’ll transform everyday moments into unforgettable stories. We’ll dive into advanced storytelling techniques like non-linear narratives, multi-dimensional characters, and emotionally charged themes. You’ll learn to find hidden stories in daily life, craft relatable plots, and weave in symbols that give your stories depth. With hands-on exercises, collaborative workshops, and plenty of feedback, you’ll build the confidence to captivate any audience. By the end, you’ll be ready to showcase your polished story in a live performance that leaves people hanging on every word.

This class is eight weekly sessions running from July 31st to September 18th 2025. The instructor is TBD. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable. All students must adhere to policies in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate.

Level One Stand-Up

There’s nothing more exhilarating, exciting, and confidence boosting than performing stand up comedy! It can be intimidating, sure, but with the right guidance and instruction, it’s something that anyone can do. This goal-oriented course will get you up onstage doing stand up for the first time with confidence, joy, and an itch to keep coming back for more! You will emerge from this class with disciplined writing tools, informative personal feedback and important advice, and a solid 5-7 minute set that you’ll be eager to share with the world.

Level Three Long Form

Prerequisite: Level One and Two Long Form Improv + instructor approval

Continue your improv journey as we focus on strong listening and reacting without interrupting our scene partners. Being sure that the beginning of your sentence doesn’t interrupt the middle of theirs, you will dive into the world of slowing down- truly hearing the gifts given to us by our teammates, and learning exactly how to play those gifts at the height of your intelligence. Work on first and second beats and group games, while also doubling down on how to pull inspiration from personal stories. Make yourself and your scene partner look like a genius!

This class is eight weekly sessions running from August 3rd, 2025 to September 28th 2025. This class will NOT run on Monday, September 1st, for Labor Day Weekend. The instructor is TBD. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable. All students must adhere to policies in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate.

August Improv 101

Not sure if you want to take an improv class? Start here! Our bimonthly Improv 101 class is designed for the student who wants to dip a toe into the wild world of improvised comedy.

Spots are limited, so please do not enroll in multiple dates. If you've participated in the past and had a great time consider enrolling in a class!

Intro to Improv takes place at 4:00pm on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. The class will be led by a qualified faculty member from the DCC Training Center. Must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate. Students age 15 and up may attend but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. An RSVP is required.

Level Three Sketch

September 7th to October 26th, 2025

Prerequisite: Levels 1-2 Sketch

You’ve written a portfolio of sketches in Level One and Level Two Sketch, now it's time to put them on the stage! Sketch Conservatory is the capstone level of DCC's Sketch track and gives students the tools they need to fully produce their own high-quality sketch shows. Students will receive instruction and mentorship from DCC faculty as they create an original show of their own material created in previous sketch courses. The class explores the different stages of the production process focusing on how artists collaborate to create a cohesive show.

CLASS DATES: SUNDAYS FROM 1-4:00PM, 9/7/25 – 10/26/25

GRAD SHOW: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 2nd, exact time TBD

This class is eight weekly sessions running from September 7th, 2025 to October 26th, 2025. The instructor is Claire Daigle. Classes are non-refundable and all sales are final. Students must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate, and must adhere to policies in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook.
