This course will have multiple show instead of one grad show, dates TBD Fall 2025.

This class picks up where we left off at the end of Advanced Stand-Up (now called Level Two). You've got at least 10 minutes of material, so let's start building the other qualities necessary to be a successful professional. While this class will have opportunities for writing and punch-ups, its focus is to study a career in comedy from a holistic perspective, taking your individual strengths and weaknesses into consideration. 

Some example lesson topics:

Building your brand as a performer
How to network within and outside of the DFW market
When and how to jump into the festival circuit
The kind of attributes we look for in hosts and how you can become a better candidate
How to pitch yourself and your shows to clubs and venues
And more!!!

The capstone project for this class is to produce a show at DCC. If successful, you may receive regular booking. There is no guarantee that students will be booked to host weekends at DCC, but we are looking to use this class as a way to develop talent to perform on our stage.

This class is eight weekly sessions running from September 8th, 2025 to October 27th 2025. The instructor is Magen King. Classes are non-refundable and all sales are final. 8-Week Course + Final Grad Show

September 23rd to November 11th, 2025

There’s nothing more exhilarating, exciting, and confidence boosting than performing stand up comedy! It can be intimidating, sure, but with the right guidance and instruction, it’s something that anyone can do. This goal-oriented course will get you up onstage doing stand up for the first time with confidence, joy, and an itch to keep coming back for more! You will emerge from this class with disciplined writing tools, informative personal feedback and important advice, and a solid 5-7 minute set that you’ll be eager to share with the world.

This class is eight weekly sessions running from September 23rd to November 11th 2025. The instructor is TBD.

CLASS DATES: TUESDAYS FROM 7-10PM, 9/23/25 – 11/11/25

GRAD SHOW DATE: SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH. TIME: 5:00PM.

4-Week Course
Sundays, 4:00-7:00pm
October 5th to October 26th, 2025

Have you taken both Level One and Level Two Stand-Up at DCC, but you miss the experience of pitching jokes and getting feedback on a weekly basis? Chances are you do! This course is designed for students who have completed Level Two and still want instructor feedback. The class will not include lectures or lessons, and will focus entirely on writing jokes to pitch. If you're looking for accountability to keep you writing, or simply miss having a weekly hang with your classmates, you'll love this class!

This class is four weekly sessions running from October 5th to October 26th 2025. The instructor is Mike Lukas. All sales are final. Classes are non-refundable. All students must adhere to policies in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook. Must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate.

8-Week Course + Final Grad Show

October 12th – December 7th, 2025

Prerequisite: Level One Stand-Up

You wrote and performed a five minute set in front of a live audience! You rock! Whether you’re doing open mics, booking shows, or even submitting for festivals, it is imperative to have a well developed set that can be delivered with confidence and ease. Students will receive personalized feedback with a focus on stage presence, storytelling, and joke set up. This class focuses on advanced topics including crowd work, hecklers, marketing yourself, and more! Students will emerge from this class feeling confident and ready to take on bigger shows.

This class is eight weekly sessions running from October 12th, 2025 to December 7th, 2025. The instructor is TBD. There will be no class on November 30th for Thanksgiving.
