Puppet Workshop: The Art of Bringing Characters to Life! Participants will explore voice, movement, and character creation while discovering how to make puppets come alive on stage. Through fun games and simple performance exercises, artists will build confidence, teamwork, and storytelling skills—all while having a blast bringing their own puppet characters to life!

LEVEL: Intermediate - some Improv experience recommended

Let’s find a character together! This workshop will take you through exercises to find and really dig into a character that you can play in improv scenes, write sketches for, or create a whole one person show out of. We’ll be combining ideas from improv and sketch comedy to create characters that will keep audiences interested in our scenes and begging to see more of them. 

This will not be a writing-focued class, but feel free to bring some ideas to start from! This will be all about giving ourselves a game and a framework to play within to discover these characters and get out of our usual play styles.

Have you created a character with an interesting point of view? In our Character Monologues workshop, you will learn how to write hilarious monologues that will allow your character to lay it all out there on the stage! Through the writing process you will delve into your character's inner life, and develop their voice. You will be able to build an entire world for your characters and receive feedback to help develop your writing skills.
