You’re a funny person, now it’s time to get your funny ideas on paper! In Intro to Sketch, you’ll learn the basics of sketch writing and develop a variety of skills to produce sketches of your own. Each week your instructor will teach you a different style of sketch through lectures, examples, and exercises created to help you master that specific style. Over the course of eight weeks, you will generate premises, write sketches, do table reads, get feedback, and transform into a real comedy writer just like those who write for SNL, Key & Peele, The Iliza Show, and more! You’ll leave class with the beginning of a comedy portfolio you can be proud of!

This class is eight weekly sessions running from March 9th to May 4th 2025. The instructor is TBD. Classes are non-refundable and all sales are final. Students must be 18 years or older to enroll and participate, and must adhere to policies in the Dallas Comedy Club Student Handbook.
